Volunteers Needed!

WHYS EXECUTIVE

There are several important executive positions that MUST be filled prior to our season getting under way for 2013. If you are an energetic person who can respectfully work with others then we want you to join our team. The positions each require a different level of commitment and self directed motivation but at the end of the season the reward of seeing the hundreds of children playing soccer is worth the effort. Look at the list of positions (see About Us) and contact the club if you are interested.

DIVISION CONVENORS

Convenors organize teams, coaches, and schedules for their division, with the aid of the WHYS Executive. They are key to getting our summer season up and running. Convenor is a great position for volunteering if you are reluctant to coach. Look at the list of positions (see About Us) and contact the club if you are interested.

COACHES

Each year we require over 120 volunteer coaches to run the practices and games for our players. A coach is someone that can be organized, communicate well, be respectful of all other members including the players and work with the players to provide them with an opportunity to learn soccer while having fun in the summer months. See COACHING INFORMATION if you are interested in coaching in your child's division in 2013.

LIGHT DUTIES, SPECIAL EVENTS, SEASON START-UP

Our club has numerous opportunities for students and local residents to volunteer their time. For students in high school, this can be an excellent way to fulfill High School volunteering hours! We are looking for energetic people to work with coaches, equipment managers, and various other members of our club prior to and during our season. Help us get fields and equipment ready just before the start of season, volunteer to help on Photo Day or Super Saturday/Sunday, or help at any of our Walk In Registrations. If you are interested, please complete the Volunteering Application (see sidebar) and we will be in touch with you.
